About the Role
 
Are you looking to start your career in the NHS and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, people-focused environment?
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Temporary Staffing Team – the team responsible for coordinating temporary workforce cover across our Trust.
 
You’ll be part of a busy, friendly, and supportive team working behind the scenes to make sure our wards and services are safely staffed, 7 days a week.
 
Initially, you’ll work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, while you learn the ropes. As your confidence grows, there will be opportunities to support the wider seven-day service and develop new skills.

Main duties of the job

What You’ll Be Doing
 • Supporting the coordination of temporary staffing bookings across the Trust using the HealthRoster system
 • Assisting with booking requests, shift cancellations, and general enquiries from wards and departments
 • Helping with recruitment and training administration for bank workers
 • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider Temporary Staffing Management Team
 • Learning about workforce planning, HR processes, and NHS systems

 • Enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to learn
 • Organised with good attention to detail
 • Confident using computers and systems (training will be provided)
 • Able to work well under pressure in a busy office environment

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·       Support and assist in office administration on a day to day basis as workload determines, reacting to changes in priorities as service dictates.

·       Clear verbal and written communication to ensure information is clearly passed to staff.

·       Supporting administration team and the Team Leader in completing daily tasks, liaising closely with staff.

·       Support the promotion and communication of Allocate systems.

·       Provide administration support with responding to the Temporary Staffing inbox’s

·       Manage day to day telephone call queries.

·       Be courteous with staff, service providers and the general public treating them with dignity and respect.
