Job overview
There is an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager in Walsall Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) to work with the EIP management team across the Black country, to lead on delivery and leadership of the Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The manager will be supported by a Clinical Lead in the team, alongside the service leads.
Main duties of the job
Our Early Intervention Service is passionate about improving the evidence based treatments for First Episode Psychosis and At Risk Mental State (ARMS). The aim is for a quality service that is evidence based and outcome measured, we participate in the NCAP audit to measure our performance and are improving our standards yearly.
The MDT work well together to encourage the voice of the service user to be heard in their own care and treatment and we place our service users at the heart of what we do.
Our aim is to have a skilled and confident workforce of practitioners that enables effective delivery of the service through collaborative relationships with our families and partner agencies as required.
We are supportive, helpful and respectful to each other and passionate about making a difference in the lives of our service users.
Working for our organisation
The role includes:
- Supporting the Trust management team in monitoring and evaluating service capacity and delivery, showing a good understanding of organisational priorities and local service needs
- Strategic liaison with external partners regarding service delivery and national guidelines
- Management of the team, including recruitment, absence monitoring
- Participating in clinical work
The post holder will be based at Pinfold Health Centre, Walsall.

The post holder needs to:
- Have current registration as a Mental Health Nurse or AHP
- Have excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving in professional relationships
- Have relevant experience in management and leading a team or experience in working in an EIP team.
- Be passionate about the profession and committed to team building
