Job overview
Sussex Partnership foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for Band 6 mental health professionals with knowledge and experience in mental health, to work as an integral part of the neighbourhood mental health team in the community of Crawley.
You will be based in Crawley providing assessments and treatment for clients with severe and enduring mental health conditions, liaising with acute care services, Crisis cafes in partnerships with local 3rd sector providers, Police Street triage options and Police Custody Healthcare to support clients with their mental health and wellbeing
This post offers the Trust's £2,000 Golden Hello or Relocation Incentive for Band 5-6 Nurses & Practitioners, (pro rata and subject to terms and conditions; please see attached Protocol Document for full details).
Main duties of the job
In this role you would be able to foster recovery through empowerment of service users and carers by involving the service user and carer in the planning of their care establishing and maintaining consistent supportive relationships, which encourage increased self-determination and responsibility for service users and their care. You would be able to offer a range of evidence-based interventions and risk management approaches enabling the service user and carers to reduce and manage symptoms and high-risk behaviour.
This role gives practitioners opportunities to be proactive, innovative and creative in delivering care, enabling the facilitation of service user's recovery and engage service users and carers in relapse prevention and crisis plans, providing intervention that maximizes the service user's ability to resolve crisis and prevent hospitalization by working closely with in-patient and crisis services.

- Registered Mental Health/OT/Social worker qualification
- Post Basic Courses / relevant Study Days
- Evidence of CPD
Knowledge/Experience
Essential criteria
- Three years’ post-qualifying experience of clinical work with people with a range of mental health problems
- Experience of partnership working within and across various different statutory and non- statutory teams and agencies
- Experience of successfully managing a caseload and prioritising clinical work.
- Experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people with a variety of mental health problems
