Job overview

Are you an experienced administrator with excellent administration and communication skills along with excellent customer service and a "can do" attitude?  We are looking for a full-time Administrator/Secretary to join our busy West Sussex CAMHS Neurodevelopmental team (NDP) based in New Park House, Horsham.  This is an interesting and varied position that would suit an experienced administrator who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role. The post holder will be motivated and flexible, be able to work well within a team and able to organise their own workload. Good time management skills and being able to prioritise tasks is essential as is having good attention to detail.

 

You will need to demonstrate a professional and confident telephone manner, and be able to liaise effectively with other teams and agencies and members of the public. You will also need to have the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed.

This is a busy position and the successful candidate will provide excellent administration and secretarial support to our clinical team.

Main duties of the job

We are a busy, friendly and caring administration team, based at New Park House in Horsham. We provide secretarial and administrative support to a variety of clinical staff across West Sussex. The administration team consists of Administrator/Secretaries and senior administrative staff.

 

This role is to provide a comprehensive range of administrative services to the clinical team. To liaise with other departments and services and to respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users, referrers and other agencies.

Tasks include taking telephone enquiries from service users, diary management; arranging appointments; correspondence; email management; spreadsheet management; minute taking, working alongside and providing admin support to the clinical team. 

 

A good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will require excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with service users and the multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses, Psychologists, Managers, Mental Health Practitioners and Support Workers.

 

This is full time 37.5 hours per week, the service operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
