Clinical Psychologist

NHS AfC: Band 8a

We’re a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. We’re looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities we serve.

We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.

East Sussex CAMHS have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, part time, Band 8a Clinical Psychology post. The post will be based in Lewes/Ouse Valley and can be either 0.6 (3 days) or 0.8 (four days) wte depending on candidates preference. You will work clinically in community clinics providing assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation. You will also have supervisory responsibilities.

You will be part of a strong and friendly multidisciplinary team, receiving high standards of clinical and professional supervision. Depending on areas of expertise and training, a secondary supervision package can be part of your job plan (CBT, IPT, EMDR, DDP, ASD and group work). You will work closely with the Locality Manager, your local Consultant Psychologist and colleagues. You will be supported and expected to attend regular local and county wide Psychology meetings and undertake relevant CPD.

CAMHS teams use our CYP-IAPT learning and work collaboratively, supported by our excellent Psychology assistant, student and intern infrastructure.

Psychologists work across all our ChYPS Care Delivery Service (CDS) which includes adolescent Tier 4, Early Intervention in Psychosis and Perinatal. We value the Psychology and Psychological Therapies workforce and staff wellbeing and resilience is a key priority.

Our clinicians are supported in working with local universities to deliver teaching, supporting research and providing high quality learning contexts for Clinical Psychology Trainees. Our work is supported by our Clinical Academic Group and related communities of interest where we work across disciplines and collaboratively with our service users in supporting innovation, evidenced based practice and practice based evidence. Participation and partnership working with children, young people and families is extremely important in our CAMH Services - our participation work has won awards and national recognition.

Our offer is for a career not just a job, in a team and a Trust committed to delivering the best care possible to those in need. We are a trust with a 2020 vision of achieving outstanding care and treatment you can be confident in.   We have a vision that includes becoming the employer of choice and our values and behaviours guide how we do this.

Interviews are scheduled for the 25th June 2019.
