Job overview

We are looking for a Team Secretary to work within our  Mental Health Liaison Team based at St Anne's Centre, St Leonards on Sea.
The job will entail
•    Dealing with incoming and outgoing phone calls
•    Diary management and sending out appointment letters
•    Creating clinical letters from tapes or written notes
•    Minute taking
•    Supporting Team PA and wider team with all aspects of admin tasks

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced Team Secretary with a "can do" attitude to provide administrative support within our Mental Health Liaison Service.  The service runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offering supporting to people in a mental health crisis attending A&E or those admitted to our General Hospital on site with an additional mental health crisis.  As part of the admin team your role will be to support the clinical team in sharing information with the service user's GP and ensure patient demographical information is correct.


This clinical team consists of consultant psychiatrists, mental health nurses, support workers and your admin colleagues.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful post-holder will need to be able to demonstrate exemplary communications skills, tact and diplomacy, along with the ability and desire to work as part of a team in a clinical mental health setting and also on their own to a high standard.  Full training on our clinical information system and any other IT systems will be provided to the successful candidate.


The post holder will be required to work independently, prioritise and organise own work load taking into consideration the competing demands of the team and ensuring that administrative work is carried out within timescales set down.
