Lead Medical Education Fellow

MT01-MT05

Job overview

Applications are invited for the role of Lead Fellow at both Worthing and St. Richards (Chichester) hospitals, one for each site. This exciting new role is open to those that have previously worked at either hospital as a Medical Education Fellow. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to build on their previous experience as an Education Fellow, as well as helping to guide and support the new cohort of Education Fellows and helping to develop the role further.
The lead Fellow role is a new one and the successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with the Fellow lead, Dr Joe Wileman, to develop and shape this role. The Lead Fellow will work closely with all the Education Fellows on their site, contributing to their induction and providing guidance and support throughout the year.
The lead Fellow will meet regularly with the other lead Fellow and the Fellow lead, Dr Joe Wileman, to discuss issues and feedback and to help plan for the year ahead.
The lead Fellow will be expected to help devise and coordinate a number of quality improvement projects, designed to enhance the Education Fellow role and the medical student experience, particularly the gathering and monitoring of teaching feedback. The other Education Fellows will also be expected to participate in these projects, during quieter periods (such as during student holidays and at the end of the academic year).
