Senior Cardiac Radiographer
Band 6
Job overview
University Hospitals Sussex Trust has opportunities for radiographers with NHS cardiac experience to join our hardworking Cardiology team based at Worthing Hospital.
We are looking for a highly-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our diverse radiography team, to work in our Cath Lab Suite using recently upgraded, state of the art Cardiac Imaging equipment. You will be able to work independently within the multidisciplinary team, whose aim is to provide a friendly, professional and patient-focused service to patients attending our busy Cath Lab Department.
Main duties of the job
You will be mentored through a comprehensive induction programme which will include rotation through our two labs training in all associated diagnostic equipment and software, to provide the highest quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and interventional treatment, while adhering to all Radiation Regulations, Trust Policies and Protocols.
You will be expected to cover shifts and participate in our 24 hour on call service. There may be occasion for cross site working at Chichester and/or Brighton Labs.
The Trust is committed to staff health & well being offering many activities including access to staff physio and other specific programmes.
We ask that you demonstrate exceptional clinical and professional standards, consistently delivering the highest quality patient-focused care to our patients, and provide evidence of ongoing CPD.
We require all radiographers to have a positive attitude to team working with good organisation and communication skills.
Please note that qualified applicants must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent, and HCPC registration.
In common with many imaging departments the demand continues to increase and therefore a commitment to providing seven day services, extended working days, weekends and on call duties are requirements of the successful candidate.
