The post involves working within the admin team to provide clerical support to a team of the Physiotherapy team. The main duty of the post will be in the Booking Office and reception duties within the Physiotherapy Department across varied sites if required.

 

Main duties of the job

The post involves working within the admin team to provide clerical support to a team of the Physiotherapy team. The main duty of the post will be in the Booking Office and reception duties within the Physiotherapy Department across varied sites if required.

 Duties include answering calls in a very busy Booking Office, waiting list reports and reception duties are face-to-face contact with patients, meeting and greeting patients, telephone answering, arrange patient appointments, digital and copy typing, data input to a patient database (Clinical Manager System/CMS), communicating with other clerical and healthcare professionals from our own and other departments and wards by phone and email, as well as general office duties, including filing and photocopying.

Essential criteria
  • Working - experience/knowledge of computers, data input and word processing
Desirable criteria
  • Audio typing/digital dictation/voice activation
  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Previous NHS experience
