An exciting opportunity has arisen for a post to support the Cardiac Science Non-Invasive / training and education team at Bradford Royal Infirmary, providing cover for Maternity Leave. Ideally this would be suitable for someone who is passionate about healthcare science and the use of technology to improve patient treatment and care. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a Physiological Science background to gain experience of working within healthcare science.

You must have an understanding of cardiac physiology at degree level, especially the conduction system. You must also be IT literate and be able to problem solve. Excellent communication skills will be essential as you will be the point of contact for patients and be responsible for explaining to them how to use the technology.

If you love science and technology, enjoy working with patients and their families, and have attention to detail then this is the post for you.

Main duties of the job

You will be trained to undertake 12 lead ECG’s and ambulatory ECG analysis as well as assisting outpatient clinics and ensuring that databases are kept up to date with accurate information. You will have responsibility for supporting the Training & Education Lead, especially in the area of non-invasive cardiac science.
