An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Nutrition & Dietetic Admin Department. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fulfil this role providing administration support to become part of our highly valued Dietetic Administration Team. 

The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and take direction from Clinicians, Manager and other colleagues as appropriate.  You will need to have good organisational and IT skills and be a good communicator both face to face and over the telephone. 

You will need to have enthusiasm and be eager to learn new skills, ensuring you a team player and there will be times that you will need to deal with conflicting demands in a busy environment.  Previous experience of working in other office environments is desirable and knowledge of using a PC and computer packages is essential.   

Main duties of the job

For this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team where tasks will include but are not limited to provision of reception cover and effective communication with patients, visitors and staff face to face. Input of clinical/administrative data such as referrals, booking outpatient appointments, and entering patient activity 

Candidates should be literate and numerate, with excellent organisational, time management, IT skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to work without supervision.

You will have a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels. You will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in your work.   We require someone who will ensure we put our patients first to ensure the best patient experience.

Bradford’s Nutrition and Dietetic Service comprises of a team of over 100 Dietitians working in the Acute and Community and Primary Care settings, supported by an administration team who have access to up to date IT facilities in line with the department’s requirements.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employ just over 5,200 staff, serving a population of around 500,000. We also have the third-largest membership base in the country. We currently operate over two main sites; the Bradford Royal Infirmary provides the majority of inpatient services, and St Luke’s Hospital provides outpatient and rehabilitation services.
