We are looking for Emergency Department Band 6 Sisters / Charge Nurses both Adult and Children's to join our friendly, hardworking and innovative nursing team.

We have supported members of our team to develop from Band 2 HCA through to staff nurse then Charge nurse and then onto advanced practitioners and we pride ourselves in recognising talent and supporting staff in their development to reach their goals and realise their dreams.

We have a forward thinking, appreciative leadership team who understand the pressures of nursing in real terms. who will support you when you need it and step back to let you be your best when you don't.

We are currently expanding the team to meet the needs of our diverse group of patients and improve the care we provide for them. The trust has made a substantial investment allowing us to increase the number of Clinical Leaders / Band 6 nurses that we have in ED.

We are seeking to appoint Band 6 Sisters/ Charge nurses to join our ED Family who are caring, hardworking, motivated, experienced AE nurses that want to further their career and develop their leadership skills..

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
  • Knowledge and understanding of application of relevant National Guidance e.g. National Service Frameworks, NICE etc
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NHS national and Trust’s targets and priorities
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the needs of the specific patient group
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of change management processes
  • Recruitment and Selection, Appraisal and other relevant HR/People management training
  • LEO or similar Programme
  • Management Development Training

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RGN /RSCN
  • Teaching and assessing qualification eg. ENB 6590 (998) or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Post registration qualification / training in area of clinical speciality
  • Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
  • ENB Courses applicable to specialism
