The Trust is looking to recruit a Gardener to join the Grounds & Gardens Team.
The postholder will deal with all types of gardening duties to enhance and maintain the appearance of the Trust’s grounds.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be expected to carry out both routine and urgent grounds maintenance duties in an efficient and effective manner to support successful delivery of a customer focussed estate maintenance service for the Trust.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in gardening/horticulture
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in use of tractor/Land Rover & other gardening machinery
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good communication Skills
- Good customer care skills
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions, including snow clearing duties.

- Basic numeric & literacy skills

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
