We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the Estates Maintenance Team. 

The post holder will assist maintenance craftsmen (of all trades) as and when required and carry out routine maintenance work on a variety of hospital plant and equipment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to carry out maintenance requests in an efficient and effective manner to support successful delivery of a customer focused estate maintenance service for the Trust.

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Experience in the building or engineering industry at any level.
  • Experience in a maintenance environment.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication and customer care skills

  • Willingness to work outside during inclement weather

Knowledge

  • Be prepared to undertake any training as required
Desirable criteria
  • Health & Safety Training
  • First Aid Training

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required as training will be given. However basic numeric and literacy skills required.
