We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the Estates Maintenance Team.
The post holder will assist maintenance craftsmen (of all trades) as and when required and carry out routine maintenance work on a variety of hospital plant and equipment.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to carry out maintenance requests in an efficient and effective manner to support successful delivery of a customer focused estate maintenance service for the Trust.

Experience

- Experience in the building or engineering industry at any level.
- Experience in a maintenance environment.
Skills

- Good communication and customer care skills

- Willingness to work outside during inclement weather

- Be prepared to undertake any training as required
Desirable criteria
- Health & Safety Training
- First Aid Training
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- No formal qualifications required as training will be given. However basic numeric and literacy skills required.
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
