Job overview

Due to new and significant investment a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our team and provide care within our service on the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). Bradford Neonatal Service is a well-established 31 cot NICU and 9 cot TCU providing care for both infants born locally and those from across the wider Yorkshire & Humber region requiring specialist high quality support.

We have had a number of recent successes in developing a large education team, perinatal palliative care support and specialist infant feeding nurses so now is a really exciting time to be part of team Bradford. We are now focusing on developing our transitional care nursing team in order to support families to make the safe transition from NICU to home care.

To come and join our team you will need to have excellent clinical and communication skills.  You will be a motivated team player and someone who is approachable to colleagues and families on the unit. The successful candidate will also aspire to continually develop.  Our promise to any successful candidate is that we will support your development and ensure that you are equipped with the right skills to be successful.

Main duties of the job

To apply you will need to already possess an NMC Pin or be due to qualify no later than October 2024.

Overseas Nurse applicants must already possess an NMC Pin as we unfortunately cannot support OSCE's at the current time.

The post holder is expected to deliver safe and high quality nursing care whilst ensuring effective, efficient and economic use of services and resources.

The post holder will maintain a safe environment for babies, families and staff, reporting concerns as they arise and ensuring appropriate remedies/ action plans are put in place.

The post holder will identify areas of practice development within the service and support the team leader to deliver on departmental goals.
