An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Performance Improvement Lead, within the Trust’s Operational Performance Team. This post offers the chance to work within a supportive team, will help you develop and strengthen your skills and abilities, whilst giving you the autonomy to shine. This opportunity also provides a strong platform to develop into more senior Performance Management roles.

Main duties of the job

This role is integral to our ambition to continuously improve performance, of the services we provide. To succeed in this position, the right applicant must be able to demonstrate; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to engage and influence others and ability to interpret highly complex data. They must be educated to graduate level or have equivalent experience in a middle management role. They should also have experience of day to day operational management, performance monitoring, service improvement and project delivery- supported by strong data analytical skills.

In this role you will work closely with the Performance Manager, along with other members of the Performance Team and operational teams within the organisation. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of performance improvement, which will support the Trust in providing safe and high quality healthcare at all times.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Involvement in the development of proactive reporting functions to support business change.
Desirable criteria
  • Extensive NHS experience in an analytical or performance improvement role.
  • Experience in managing or leading on multiple projects in an NHS or health related field of work.
  • Experience of problem solving approaches and maintaining stakeholder relationships

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent keyboard and PC skills
  • To be able to understand challenges faced by services at pace and work collaboratively to support improvements.
  • Communication and engagement with stakeholders
Desirable criteria
  • Advanced knowledge of NHS information issues.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.
  • Understanding of the principles of NHS performance management
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of demand and capacity planning within an NHS organisation
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and principles
  • Knowledge of Power BI

Qualifications

Desirable criteria
  • Degree in scientific or business subject involving a high standard of numeracy
  • ECDL
  • Project Management qualification (Such as Prince2) or relevant experience
  • Business analytics and/or demand and capacity qualification
