We’re a friendly, hardworking team that’s looking for someone determined and enthusiastic to help us with the day- to-day logistics of all goods delivered to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will be taking a proactive role in supporting the Logistic Services Supervisor in signing for and checking in goods, matching goods against the delivery notes then distributing the goods to the end users. The post may require some receipting of goods onto the computer system from time to time.

Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths and English* pass or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria
- Working with the Public/Customers
Desirable criteria
- Working in a Hospital/ Care Home/ Healthcare Environment
- Working in Supply Chain and Procurement Stores
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to follow instructions (verbal and written)
- Ability to work to schedules, procedures and deadlines
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to use initiative
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload efficiently
- Conscientious attitude with attention to detail
- A reasonable level of fitness is required as heavy lifting will be necessary with this role in accordance with manual handling training as well as multiple delivery runs around the estate on foot with manual and powered handling trolleys per day.

- Driving licence including vans
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to use a computer system for basic email, word and spreadsheet programmes

- Knowledge of appropriate Portering procedures
- Health & Safety Training/Lifting & Handling
- Ability to use Oracle purchasing system (or similar)
