Due to current Home Office Guidelines, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward‑thinking research team at a time of growth and expansion. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual with a working knowledge of NHS research governance systems, strong administrative skills, and a collaborative approach to work.

As a Research Facilitator, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting the management and coordination of both non‑commercial and commercial contract research. The role will play a key part in expanding commercial research activity, with a particular focus on efficient study set‑up, robust contract review, and delivery against key timelines.

You will also contribute to the wider Research Management & Support Office, working closely with research teams to support local feasibility activity, process site submissions, produce performance reports, and ensure research systems such as EDGE are accurate and maintained.

Main duties of the job

Highly organised and proactive research management professional with the ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Demonstrates strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and flexibility in a fast‑paced, unpredictable environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, providing clear, professional advice and guidance to researchers, sponsors, and internal stakeholders. Confident in liaising with commercial sponsors, Trust departments, universities, NIHR networks, and external research organisations to support feasibility, costing, contracts, and approvals.

Strong working knowledge of UK research governance frameworks, including HRA and MHRA approvals, ethics review, IRAS, NIHR requirements, iCT costing methodology, ICH‑GCP, and Research Passport processes, with a commitment to keeping knowledge up to date.

Skilled in maintaining accurate research information and performance data, identifying data quality issues, and supporting performance monitoring and reporting. Collaborative and supportive team member who contributes to SOPs, service improvement, and a positive, facilitative research culture. Professional, reliable, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to high‑quality research delivery.
