An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated doctor to join our department at an exciting time for our Trust. The vacancy has arisen in the Trauma & Orthopaedics department for a senior orthopaedic trainee to commence from May 2025 until October 2025.
This post has been developed as a training opportunity for registrars. In Bradford Hospitals trust we offer a range of specialty and sub specialty care to our patients and thus training is available in a number of sub-specialties with experienced consultant surgeons. The post is not recognised for training by the Postgraduate Dean, although the duties and shift pattern are exactly the same as the training posts and study leave will be encouraged on an equivalent basis to that which applies to the educationally approved SHOs. The post will be on a 1:12 on-call commitment.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Clinical fellow in orthopaedics and trauma will work alongside Registrars on the Registrar rota. The orthopaedic department is committed to education and training with a teaching programme for resident doctors and through our journal club. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in departmental audit and research activity alongside the Bradford Institute for Health Research.
