Bradford  Teaching Hospitals NHS trust are seeking  an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a flexible approach, to be part of our leadership Team for  the maternity theatres, co- located within the Labour Ward.

 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Deputy Manager will contribute to the development of the clinical speciality, the professional progress of self and junior team members whilst ensuring effective resource management.  The deputy will contribute to assurances and support  trust expectations for training to ensure  all staff who work in maternity theatres have the right skills and confidence.

Swydd ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

The ideal candidate would be experienced in both scrub and first stage recovery with knowledge of all specialties that we see across the theatre service.  Leading and managing the team on a day to day basis is the main part of this role. Involving the team in new developments to maximise  the patient journey is one of the key objectives.  You will work closely with the band 7 midwifery leadership team and the anesthetic clinical lead  who are responsible  for their specialty services. Together you will provide assurances that the theatre service provides an efficient, safe,  quality service for women and families.

  • Can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice in relation to theatre setting
  • Previous theatre experience minimum of 3 years
  • Demonstrate resource management ability

Qualifications

  • RN, RM ,registered ODP
  • Mentor /teaching qualification 998 or equivalent.
  • Health related diploma/degree or evidence to further academic study.

  • Surgical site or recovery skill qualifications
  • Management Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Leadership training
