Care and Treatment Review/DSR Coordinator

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of developing the delivery of CT(E)R’s and the Dynamic support register across mental health services, ensuring that all of those with a Learning Disability and/or Autism are identified and supported to engage with the process. This is a brand-new role that has been identified to ensure that those supported by Mental Health services have awareness of and access to both CT(E)R’s and the DSR. The aim of the C(E)TR is to bring a person-centred and individualised approach to ensuring that the care and treatment and differing support needs of the person and their families are met, and that barriers to progress are challenged, overcome and analysed, options compared and reviewed to agree the best way forward. 

This post will be hosted by Bradford District Care Trust and the post holder will be in-bedded into the teams as the first port of call for all DSR and C(e)TR queries.

The post holder in conjunction with the DSR/CTR coordinator in LD services, will hold the Care and Treatment (CTR) register for Bradford District Care Foundation Trust. They will arrange and coordinate CTRs in Bradford (with a focus on those who do not access LD services) They will coordinate Dynamic Support Register (DSR) and chair the meetings in conjunction with the LD CTR/ DSR coordinator. They will provide education and training around CTRs and DSR for adult services withing BDCFT and externally to partners.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Learning disability/mental health or social care experience around CTR/DSR
  • Educated to degree level or relevant professional knowledge and experience
  • Significant experience in specialist area
  • Detailed knowledge of mental health legislation and other relevant policy and statutory guidance
Desirable criteria
  • Training staff groups, families and people with learning disabilities and autism

Training

Essential criteria
  • Excellent communication skills with a broad range of service providers, service users, families and partner organisations
  • Chairing reviews of people with learning disabilities and autism care needs.
