We are looking for caring, motivated individuals to join  us as a Staff Bank Health Care Support Workers within our Adult Mental Health Acute & Specialist Care Service.

As a Staff Bank Health Care Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients across our Airedale and Bradford units. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in mental health care, contribute to patient wellbeing, and work flexibly around your lifestyle.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre on 26th September 2025 at New Mill, Saltaire.

Main duties of the job

As a Health Care Support Worker in our Adult Mental Health Acute Care Service, you’ll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care. Under the guidance of registered healthcare professionals, you’ll support a defined group of patients—helping them through some of the most challenging times in their lives.

You’ll:

  • Provide hands-on care and planned interventions that truly matter.
  • Work closely with experienced Assistant Practitioners, taking the lead on delegated tasks that build your confidence and skills.
  • Be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring every patient feels safe, respected, and valued.
