As a Healthcare Administrator, you will be at the heart of the healthcare service, providing essential support to both clinical and operational teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for prisoners accessing healthcare services and responding to routine healthcare enquiries.
  • Providing healthcare reception and administrative support to ensure patients are directed appropriately and appointments are managed effectively.
  • Processing and uploading clinical correspondence onto SystmOne.
  • Supporting healthcare clinics by preparing appointment lists, clinical records and relevant documentation.
  • Coordinating gate passes and access arrangements for external healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
  • Collecting, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Maintaining accurate healthcare records and ensuring information is handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Working closely with healthcare staff to support the smooth day-to-day running of healthcare services across the establishment.
  • Contributing to a positive patient experience by providing a professional, respectful and responsive service.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support the delivery of healthcare within a secure environment, helping to ensure people in custody receive timely access to healthcare services and support.
