Working for our organisation

Our Estates and Facilities management functions alongside our Medical Engineering, decontamination and procurement service, provides the following:
- Fully managed estate and building maintenance
- Medical engineering/equipment maintenance/ decontamination
- Procurement advice, guidance and governance
- Capital project management
- Transport
- Grounds maintenance.

- Cleaning (including robot and deep cleaning)

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To be responsible for all goods inwards and stock movements relating to the catering stores, whilst maintaining strict hygiene practices and adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
This is a physically demanding role with lifting pulling and pushing involved.
Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm.

Desirable criteria
- Basic Food hygiene certificate
- Basic English and maths.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria
- Good food hygiene practices
- Awareness of Health and Safety and manual handling techniques
- Flexible able to multi task.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of good Lifting & handling Techniques.
- Basic computer skills, menu mark stock control system, e-mail, excel
Experience
Essential criteria
- The ability to communicate well with staff, patients and members of the public
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a large catering environment
- Receiving Goods inwards
- Experience of stock handling and control systems
- To demonstrate a methodical and organised approach to work
General
Essential criteria
- Ability to work in various locations throughout the network of services provided by the Company/Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust
- Able to fulfill the health requirements of the post as identified in the Job Description, taking into account any reasonable adjustments recommended by Occupational Health.
