Job overview

AGH Solutions is seeking an organised, detail-focused and motivated individual to join our Quality and Assurance team as an Assurance Support Auditor. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in administration, compliance, audit support or quality assurance who is looking to further develop their skills within a healthcare and regulated environment. 

Reporting to the Quality and Assurance Manager, the post holder will support a range of audit, validation, follow-up and action-tracking activity across AGH Solutions services, helping to ensure that assurance information is accurate, records are maintained, and improvement actions are effectively monitored. 

This is a supporting Grade B role, working within agreed processes and contributing to service improvement and organisational assurance.

Main duties of the job

The Assurance Support Auditor will:

  • Support delegated audit and follow-up activity across domestic services, waste compliance and other assurance areas. 
  • Maintain accurate records, trackers, action plans and supporting evidence. 
  • Carry out checks on completed actions and report findings through agreed management routes. 
  • Support KPI and performance data validation through sample checks and evidence review. 
  • Prepare updates, logs and supporting information for assurance reporting and governance meetings.
  • Work with colleagues across services to support service improvement, organisational assurance and timely escalation of issues. 

The role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage allocated tasks within agreed timescales while working collaboratively across services.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to an NVQ Level 2 standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience or training in audit support, compliance, quality assurance or administration of assurance processes
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification or short course in auditing, quality improvement or compliance
  • Awareness of National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness
  • Awareness of HTM/07/01 Safe and sustainable management of Healthcare Waste

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to review information accurately, identify discrepancies and follow agreed assurance processes
  • Ability to maintain and update action plans, trackers and records accurately
  • Able to raise concerns appropriately and professionally
  • Ability to provide clear written updates and draft basic summaries
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of using audit, governance or action-tracking systems

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of audit or checking processes
  • Awareness of performance monitoring and compliance record systems

Experience

  • Experience in audit support, compliance, quality assurance, administration or similar roles

  • Experience supporting escalation, action tracking or performance improvement processes
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in healthcare, facilities management or another regulated environment
