Consultant Psychiatrist - Community Eating Disorders

LYPFT offer a revised and increased starting salary for newly appointed consultants to the Trust. All newly appointed will be started on £119,490 at pay point 05.
The post holder will work as part of the CONNECT community service and will take a leadership role in the assessment and treatment of community patients with eating disorders and supporting the wider MDT in the effective and safe delivery of this specialist service. Specific leadership responsibilities will include chairing team meetings, offering new patient assessments, chairing assessment meetings, chairing CPA meetings, chairing local MEED meetings and supervising medical and non-medical colleagues.

Leeds Partnerships NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a 10PA Consultant Psychiatrist in Connect. If you wish to work less PAs this is negotiable. Conversely additional PAs for service delivery or other responsibilities may be available e.g. Clinical Tutor roles, medical lead roles or sessions of clinical work in other areas across the Trust e.g. the neurodevelopmental service. Main duties of the Job:
The post holder, supported by the MDT, will provide:
• 2 x new patient triage assessments per week.
• Attendance at 4 x CPA reviews per week with the MDT
• Attendance at the weekly community and assessment team meetings
• Advice and support to the MDT regarding physical and psychological risk including physical health monitoring.
• Liaison with GPs and external agencies regarding referrals and physical health monitoring for CONNECT service users.
• Attendance at weekly MEED huddles
• Support to the CONNECT MEED team with urgent inreach work when required.
• Urgent MHA assessments when required.
• RC and senior medical support to the Nurse Consultant at YCED when needed.
• Cross cover for consultant colleagues at CONNECT/YCED
