Job overview
We are seeking an organised and motivated Pharmacy Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated pharmacy team. This is a key role in supporting the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of our pharmacy service to patients across the Trust.
You will provide essential administrative, clerical and medication stock support to the pharmacy department, ensuring accurate record-keeping, smooth communication, and timely processing of documentation. Working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals, you will help maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Main duties of the job
• Providing support to service users attending the hatch and signposting them to the most appropriate person.
• Process prescriptions, requisitions, and pharmacy-related documentation in line with departmental procedures.
• Support stock control processes, including checking off orders, expiry date checking and maintaining records and stock of medicines and consumables.
• Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
• Maintain confidentiality, in line with Trust policies and GDPR requirements.

• Provide administrative and reception support within our dispensaries, including answering telephone calls and email queries in a professional and courteous manner, assisting at the hatch, uploading information to clinical systems, and carrying out general housekeeping tasks.
