Trosolwg o'r swydd

The NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) is at the centre of the NHS's digital transformation, helping organisations make better decisions through data, real-time insight and emerging AI capabilities. By bringing together information from across health and care, NHS FDP is enabling a fundamental shift in how services are planned, delivered and improved. It provides the foundation for smarter, more proactive healthcare, empowering frontline teams with the tools, insights and visualisations needed to improve patient outcomes, optimise resources and transform the delivery of care across the NHS.

The Senior Delivery Manager plays a key role within the Federated Data Platform (FDP) Local Product Team, supporting the successful delivery of innovative digital products that improve operational performance and patient outcomes across NHS provider trusts, systems and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the post holder will be responsible for maintaining the delivery cadence and operational management of products progressing through the FDP Product Lifecycle Framework, from incubation and pilot through to adoption and scaling. The role will bring together clinical, operational, technical and supplier teams, ensuring activities are coordinated effectively and delivery remains on track.

Please see attached assignment brief.

Job Duties
•    Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of product initiatives across incubation, pilot, implementation and adoption phases, ensuring milestones, dependencies and delivery plans are actively managed.
•    Drive delivery governance by maintaining clear reporting on progress, risks, issues, decisions and escalations, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives, timelines and success measures.
•    Work collaboratively across product, supplier, technical, clinical, operational, assurance and FDP teams to maintain delivery momentum and ensure requirements are met.
•    Support implementation, adoption, benefits tracking and continuous improvement with provider organisations, ICBs and frontline users, sharing learning and best practice across the Local Product Team.

This role is suited to an experienced delivery professional with strong organisational, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering tangible outcomes through digital transformation. We are looking for candidates who can evidence the essential criteria; it would be advantageous if candidates also have one or more of the desirable knowledge and experience.

Gweithio i'n sefydliad

NHS England has a wide range of statutory functions, responsibilities and regulatory powers. These are focused on supporting the wider NHS to deliver high quality care, as well as doing those things that are best done once for the whole NHS.

Our staff bring expertise across clinical, operational, commissioning, technology, data science, cyber security, software engineering, education, and commercial specialisms — enabling us to design and deliver high-quality NHS services.

In March 2025, the Government announced that NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care will increasingly merge functions, ultimately leading to NHS England being fully integrated into the department.

If you currently work within the NHS and if successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the process.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in our offices.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

We cannot offer visa sponsorship for any vacancies.
