Job overview
The GP Associate Director will assist and work with the Head of GP School and Primary Care Dean to ensure the delivery of high-quality GP specialty training and support the development of the Primary Care workforce in London.
A GP Associate Director at 3 session per week post has become available in South London (GSTT + Kings) with a view to starting asap (negotiable). This position is available until 31/10/2026

The post will be for 3 sessions a week (12 hours per week).
Main duties of the job
The Associate Director will have local responsibility for the co-ordination, provision and management of postgraduate general practice activities across London as well as providing input into the development of the primary care workforce through promoting multi-professional education. Responsibilities will include, amongst others:
· To support and work with the Head of School for GP Education with the preparation, implementation and management of postgraduate general practice foundation and specialty training schemes within their patch.
· To develop links and liaise with the Royal College of General Practitioners and the General Medical Council on the approval of posts selected for general practice training.
· To liaise with emerging training hubs in their patches.
To liaise with internal and external senior stakeholders over issues relating to specialty training for general practice.
