Job overview
Dental Education Coordinators are responsible for the coordination of postgraduate dental education and training across the North West of England.
The Dental Education Coordinator will provide effective and efficient Clinical, administration and support as part of a wider team. The post will work mainly at the Dental Training Hub, Altrincham where the training for the Dental Workforce is undertaken. You may be asked to attend other events across the region on an ad hoc basis.
Main duties of the job
The Dental Education Coordinator is responsible for:
- Working as part of a team to deliver an effective service supporting the development of an education calendar in line with the educational requirements set out by the GDC and needs led education with robust quality assurance processes.
- Facilitate hands on clinical and non-clinical courses supported by the Dental Workforce Development section.
- The co-ordination of the online booking system and provide advice and guidance to users.
The post holder will be:
- Required to have a flexible working arrangement that meets the needs of the educational programme.
- Due to the hands on and clinical nature of this post the applicant must be registered with the GDC.

Job Summary
The postholder will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of postgraduate dental education at the North West Dental Training Hub in Altrincham. Working within a small, education-focused team, the Dental Coordinator will facilitate hands-on training sessions and webinars, maintain educational calendar, and coordinate course bookings. They will contribute to a high-quality learning environment and ensure that all training activities run safely, efficiently, and in line with NHS and GDC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Educational Support

Prepare, set up, and maintain clinical teaching areas, simulation equipment, instruments, and materials for hands-on courses.

Ensure adherence to cross-infection control policies and maintain safe, clean clinical learning environments.

Support the delivery of webinars, digital teaching sessions, and hybrid learning events.
Administrative & Coordination Duties

Maintain the Dental Education Calendar, ensuring all courses, are accurately scheduled and updated.

Coordinate the online booking and registration system, managing course capacity, waiting lists, confirmations, and delegate communication.

Assist with course documentation, attendance monitoring, feedback collection, and reporting.

Liaise with educators, learners and suppliers to support smooth course delivery.
North West Dental Education Hub Support

Provide day-to-day support for training activity within the centre, ensuring rooms, equipment, and resources are prepared in advance.

Contribute to quality improvement activities, including audits, stock management, and learner evaluations.

Uphold learner-centred values and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors and trainees.
Person Specification
Essential:
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse with relevant post-qualification experience.
