Main duties of the job
As the Deputy Director you lead the Hospital 2.0 Programme which is shaping the next generation of healthcare delivery. You will report into the Integration Director and you’ll need to be experienced in working across multiple healthcare systems, driving forward large-scale change programmes.
We are looking for:
- A proven leader with a strong track record of delivering complex, system-wide transformation in healthcare and major programmes multi millions in value.
- Experience working across multiple specialisms, managing multiple and building strong partnerships in a dynamic, multi-agency environment.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action, ensuring high-quality delivery through robust programmes.
- A compelling communicator with the ability to inspire, engage and lead others through change at pace.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent level or equivalent experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
Desirable criteria
- Professional qualification or equivalent experience of project and programme management techniques and tools such as Prince 2 or Managing Successful Projects
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in organisational leadership and delivering successful transformation programmes
- Experience of working across multiple healthcare systems & advising on major programmes
- Experience of working across multiple specialisms, disciplines and complexity of programmes
- Experience of leading and delivering large scale transformational change and the ability to convey a compelling and engaging vision of change.
- Experience of working at a senior level in a complex environment, managing multiple transformation projects with a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge and application of risk awareness and management
- Knowledge of commissioning practices and models
- Significant experience of managing and prioritising a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements
Skills, Capabilites and Attributes

- Highly developed communication skills with the capability to analyse, review and make sense of highly complex, sensitive, or contentious information across a diverse range of subjects relevant to post portfolio.
- Ability to identify and implement effective systems to monitor performance
