Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a Podiatrist to join our innovative and dynamic Podiatry Service. Our team provides high quality Podiatry Services to adults and children across Bradford and Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven.

The Podiatry Service provides an opportunity for the candidate to work within a diverse team which provides a range of services throughout the District. The service has an excellent reputation for providing high quality care.

We are committed to robust integrated care, and as such have a reputation for working closely with colleagues in other services within Primary and Secondary Care.

We offer a comprehensive local and national preceptorship package for a newly qualified Podiatrist.

Main duties of the job

To be part of a highly motivated team, providing a high standard of clinical care in both the acute and community settings. To be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Podiatric care to a variety of patients with a wide range of clinical needs.

This incudes delivering diabetic foot assessments, new patient assessments and foot protection treatments. You will be encouraged to build on your clinical skills in wound care, biomechanics and nail surgery whilst being supported by a mentor.

  • Experience of working as part of a team to deliver excellent outcomes

  • Experience of working in a complex healthcare environment
  • Experience of working as a podiatrist in a specialist area

Qualifications

  • BSC Hons Podiatry Degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Podiatry
Desirable criteria
  • Proven working knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
