Job overview
It is an exciting time to join our Podiatry team in Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust and we are seeking a part time Band 6 Podiatrist to join us as we continue to build upon existing models and introduce new ways of working. Our transformation plans over the next 12 months will include developing further joint working with community working.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated team, providing a high standard of clinical care. To be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of Podiatric care to a variety of patients with a wide range of clinical needs. Care will be provided in a range of settings. (community, acute, patients’ home, GP surgeries, nursing homes, community and hospital based mental health, Across Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale & Craven.
Experience of working with the high risk foot and knowledge of biomechanics is preferred.
This is a generic Band 6 role with opportunities to develop in specialist areas.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered with Health Care Professions Council
- Podiatry Diploma/Degree
- Local Analgesia Administration Certificate
Desirable criteria
- Masters Level Qualification or equivalent experience
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- High standard of Podiatric Knowledge, Specialist knowledge in the high risk patient and some biomechanics knowledge
- To participate in regular CPD
- Understanding of current NHS AHP guidelines
- Ability to interpret and adopt NICE guidelines that are appropriate for the local service.
Desirable criteria
- Ability to problem solve
Skills
Essential criteria
- Analyse and interpret results and assessments within the scope of practice.
- Understanding of complex foot pathologies and complex needs of patients.
- Ability to adapt and change at short notice and willingness to travel across the whole area.

- Critical analysis/evaluation skills
- Computer and PowerPoint skills
