We’re currently recruiting Catering Assistants to join our Patient Meal Services team, part of the wider Catering Department at AGH Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

As a member of our Patient Dining Team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality meal and beverage services to patients across our wards. No two days are the same, and no two wards are alike—this is a role where variety and purpose go hand in hand.

Main duties of the job

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering meals and beverages to patients with care and compassion
  • Supporting food preparation and regeneration using service trollies
  • Carrying out cleaning duties, including pot wash
  • Monitoring food and fridge temperatures
  • Picking and preparing patient meal selections

Training & Support:

Full training will be provided, with a minimum of 2 weeks Monday–Friday to ensure you’re confident and supported in your role.

  • GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Food safety course level 1
  • Customer Service Training

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience working with the public/customers
  • Working to schedules, procedures and deadlines
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a hospital/healthcare/care home environment
  • Previous experience of complying with Health and Safety regulations
