The Procurement department at Airedale General Hospital have an exciting opportunity within their Contracts Team.

We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, confident and has good analytical and communication skills, and is computer literate on basic software systems such as Microsoft Office.
Main duties of the job
Your main responsibilities will include contributing to the delivery of an optimally cost-effective contract renewals service, support the Contracts Manager, completing target savings delivery and enhancing and developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- A good level of general education
Desirable criteria
- Professional qualifications to level 3 Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Experience in a Procurement environment.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good understanding/experience of negotiation practices.
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of Public Contract Regulations and the Procurement Act.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of staff supervision.
- Good experience in delivering cost reduction savings.
- Good analytical skills and mathematical orientation.
- Experience of working and developing tender specification
- Experience in using a purchase to pay system, such as Oracle
Desirable criteria
- Availability to use/develop use of common software packages i.e. Microsoft Office
