Job overview

Do you get a buzz from making someone’s day better?
Do you believe a warm meal and a kind word can go a long way? Then keep reading — we might just have the perfect role for you.

🍽️ Join Our Patient Catering Team!
We’re on a mission to transform mealtimes into moments of care, comfort, and connection. Our Patient Catering Team & Hostess Housekeeping team is evolving — and we’re looking for a passionate, people-loving Patient Experience and Nutritional Supervisor to help lead the charge.

👩‍🍳 What’s Cooking in This Role?
You’ll be the secret ingredient in our recipe for success, helping to:

  • Lead and support a team of catering colleagues, hostesses, and housekeepers.
  • Onboard and train new team members (yes, you’ll be the friendly face they remember!).
  • Keep our service running like a well-oiled kitchen — with data, delivery, and mealtime magic.
  • Ensure every patient’s dining experience is served with excellence and a smile.

💡 You’ll thrive if you:

  • Love working with people and making a difference.
  • Can juggle tasks like a pro (but not actual plates — we have trolleys for that).
  • Believe that food is more than fuel — it’s care, dignity, and joy.

📍 Based in West Yorkshire, you’ll be part of a team that’s as committed to compassion as it is to quality.

Main duties of the job

To lead a team and ensure high standards of patient, restaurant and retail services within designated locations on the site at all required times.
To communicate with staff, colleagues and service users taking corrective action where appropriate.
Contribute to the delivery of a quality catering service in accordance with specification standards.
To Promote a Just Culture
To ensure that all patient meal requirements are ordered in a timely manner by staff at ward level and that all patient meal requirements are accurately assembled and delivered in a timely manner.
Assisting with Hospitality and delivery of hospitality to users.
To ensure that the provision of Patent Meals and Hostess & Housekeeper service are provided to the standard required.
To communicate effectively with colleagues, and visitors throughout the service delivery at all times, whilst ensuring respect, dignity and confidentiality at all times

Working for our organisation

AGH Solutions Ltd was incorporated on 1 September 2017 as a registered company limited by shares. The sole shareholder is Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

AGH Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trust and provides a fully managed suite of healthcare facilities for use by the Trust. AGH Solutions provides value to the Trust through its specific service offer and through its ability to manage developments and operational risk for the Trust and other parties, enabling the Foundation Trust Board to focus on clinical matters.

Airedale hospital is one of a small number of hospitals constructed entirely from aerated concrete and is seeking to access the Government’s new hospital programme. If the bid is successful, it will be a defining moment for the hospital and the community.

AGH Solutions is an ambitious company and wants to expand its services beyond the hospital walls and into the local region. The company has developed a business growth strategy for 2020-2025 and is seeking a Non-Executive Director that can drive the delivery of these ambitious goals.

Benefits include

  • 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays (pro rata)
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Line (because superheroes need support too)
  • Buy or sell annual leave (flexibility is our flavour)
  • Access to 6 Staff Networks – Enable, Gender, Race Equality, Rainbow, Armed Forces and Admin
  • Onsite Children’s Nursery (for your little sous-chefs)
