Job overview

Are you a dedicated RGN looking for a new challenge within a diverse, community setting? Do you want to combine your primary care, acute and emergency nursing skills all in one place and keep your NHS Pension?

Working with Substance Misuse and Primary Care within offender and secure healthcare this role will bring new challenges. The days are varied and there is a wide range of training and development opportunities. You will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team delivering primary care, mental health, and substance misuse services to our patients. 

The welcome payment is payable to new candidates joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

There is also opportunity to access a relocation package of up to £8,000

Main duties of the job

The role includes nurse led clinics, administering medication and treatments, emergency response, triage, wound care, examinations, and referrals. No two days are the same working in our friendly and supportive team. You must have sound nursing knowledge, lots of valuable experience and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 – Adult /General/Mental Health
Desirable criteria
  • Mentorship / supervision/teaching / assessing experience/ training

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of current healthcare issues.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance audit, risk management and quality agenda
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
  • Competent in clinical practice e.g., phlebotomy, ECG monitoring
  • Worked in a complex environment managing deteriorating patients
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within a Health & Justice environment.
  • Experience of health needs assessment/Triage
  • Working to Patient Group Directives
  • Experience in working in general practice
  • Management / Minor Injuries
  • Experience of using SystmOne or willing to undertake training
