Job overview

This is the job advert you've been looking for!

Are you looking to grow your skills within the HR (People) Services function?

Are you already experienced in administration, understand HR processes and systems, and want to provide essential support to the People Services team, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes? If this sounds like a good fit for you then look no further!

This would be the perfect opportunity for someone to dive into a busy team where you can quickly grow and refine transferable skills, surrounded by a supportive and friendly team.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of HR transactional processes, including Electronic Staff Record (ESR) entries and changes, post-employment checks, registrations and references, and managing email inboxes and a busy ticketing system.

Confidence with maintenance of electronic systems, a sound understanding of HR policies and procedures and a keen eye for attention to detail will be strongly sought after.

We are looking to recruit to this position on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week) with one of the working days to be a Friday.

Please note, there would be a requirement to work from the HQ office once weekly.

Main duties of the job

This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for HR processes, maintaining electronic systems/workforce information and working within a busy People function. Working well as a cohesive and supportive team is very important to us, so we would be looking for someone who can build strong working relationships and show respect for all colleagues and our wider Trust employees.

The key tasks will include:-

Contributing to the completion of the HR Services busy workload, including the setup of new starters, processing of ESR changes, processing leavers, issuing references, and completing driving licences and DBS checks. You would be managing your tasks in order of priority, taking consideration of different deadlines, including retro, payroll deadline, no input days, etc.

Providing a friendly, professional and efficient customer service is at the forefront of our team, often using tact and diplomacy skills to provide general HR advice across a broad range of HR policies and processes as well as providing information in a timely and accessible manner.

Within this role, you would be fully competent with all functions of our HR systems in relation to the operation of the HR function so as to interrogate, enter, update and retrieve data from the ESR system. You would ensure compliance with the relevant organisational and legislative requirements in relation to DBS rechecks, driving licence rechecks, and other transactional HR Services requests when required.
