As HR Operations Lead, you will oversee the development of robust systems and processes, enhancing the functionalities of our HR operations. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality HR advice and transactional services, ensuring that all employees experience a seamless, values-based employment journey from entry to exit.

You will also be responsible for driving the recruitment and resourcing strategic priorities, ensuring the Trust attracts and retains the right talent. By collaborating with HR and service line leads, you will identify staffing requirements and organisational skill needs, aligning them with our operational goals.

Your role will also involve monitoring and analysing key workforce metrics, providing regular reports to senior management, and supporting the development of a long-term workforce plan across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Lead with compassion and line manage the Recruitment, HR Business Support and People Systems teams in the delivery, development and maintenance of all transactional HR services covering the end-to-end employee lifecycle. 

Deliver a recruitment infrastructure that ensures consistent and fair recruitment and selection practices which supports the Trust's diversity and inclusion agenda. 

Implement and monitor performance metrics for understanding the quality and standards of our Recruitment and HR Business Support services. 

Lead and collaborate with Service Leads and Scheduling teams in developing and maintaining the Trust’s 5-year workforce plan, ensuring that the Trust has the right people with the right skills at the right time, while also considering workforce changes to align staff demand with supply.

Provide clear and comprehensive workforce and business planning information to Senior Leaders to support Trust’s Business Planning submissions.

Essential criteria
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of workforce planning, analysing workforce information and modelling.
  • Experience of developing medium and longterm strategic plans that provide direction and governance which are in line with strategic business plans, values, and strategic vision.
  • Management and leadership of a team or teams.
  • Able to analyse, assimilate and critically evaluate complex information from multiple sources to enable effective decision making.

Knowledge and Educational Achievements

Essential criteria
  • Masters level in Business Intelligence or another relevant discipline or the equivalent comparable industry experience (Advanced theoretical knowledge).
  • Evidence of recent and on-going continuous professional and personal development.
