Job overview

We are looking to recruit a part-time Housekeeping Assistant for Wilton Health Centre, located in Salisbury.

We have one permanent position available,

10 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 0600-0800) 

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the premises, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained.

Full on-site training is provided and PPE provision is also included.

Thank you for your interest in the role of Band 2 Housekeeping Assistant; this role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship.  Accordingly, we regret that any application will not be considered if this requirement is not met. Given the current UK immigration requirements this role is not eligible for sponsorship and it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants for a visa for this role.

 

 

Main duties of the job

  • To undertake cleaning duties throughout the health care premise, which may include clinical departments, offices, kitchens, sanitary and communal areas.
  • To empty, clean and reline general and clinical waste bins, segregating waste for disposal to appropriate holding bins.
  • To replenish supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc.
  •  Floor cleaning

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To arrange furniture and equipment for various classes, clinics and return to normal order after use.
  • To undertake periodic cleaning maintenance of carpets and other floor surfaces and planned and ad hoc curtain changing as required.
  • To maintain departmental records where appropriate, such as refrigeration temperatures, flushing and w/c cleaning forms.
  • To use all cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and departmental procedures, storing safely and securely when not in use.
