The Facilities Directorate provides a broad range of services within Trust as well as to other NHS organisations with an emphasis on quality and value for money.
The Catering Department is key to the Directorate and to continue developing and improving on our services, the Catering Department is seeking to recruit a Catering Administrator.
We are looking for a conscientious individual to join our busy team in the Catering Department at Salisbury District Hospital.
There will be a requirement to work occasional weekends, public holidays and to support the Catering Retail Team at busy times in the restaurant.
Main duties of the job
The position is varied and will include tasks such as ordering & receipting of stock, processing menus, assisting with hospitality requests, communicating with the Hospital Wards and at times dealing directly with patients helping with any queries they may have.
Knowledge of special diets including textured modified and/or experience of working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage. Understanding statutory requirements on food hygiene, allergens, storage and temperature control and an excellent knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation are also and advantage.
Excellent communication skills are essential for this post
