Job overview

This is a fantastic role split between the Finance Department and the Division within the Trust to which you will be assigned. You will provide expert, specialist and in-depth business and financial management information and advice to the Division, as well as leading on the reporting of Divisional income, expenditure and other KPIs.

This role is crucial to the smooth running and operational adaptability of the Division, and involves driving forwards continuous improvement in all aspects of the team's work, leading to improved Divisional productivity levels.

Main duties of the job

Provide expert, specialist and in-depth business and financial management information and advice to the Divisions. Lead the reporting of Divisional productivity, income, expenditure and other KPIs in line with required timescales for the achievement of financial and operational plans

Education, Experience and Skills

Essential criteria
  • CCAB Qualification and post qualification CPD
  • Experience in a Financial Management team
  • Up to date knowledge of application of accounting standards (inc. IFRS)
  • GCSE Maths and English passes (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience in a large and complex public sector organisation
  • Experience of driving productivity within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge and understanding of current NHS financial regime
  • Experience delivering plans and developing forecasts as part of a team
  • Line management experience, and skills in developing others
  • Highly developed presentational, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (some complex formulae/function examples)
  • Highly developed analytical and interpretation skills, including concise and clear summary
