Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with strong leadership skills to join our friendly and compassionate Maternity and Neonatal administration team.

The successful candidate will provide line management support and supervision of the maternity administration teams in the appointed areas, ensuring strict compliance with Trust policies and procedures, while demonstrating the leadership behaviours expected by the organisation.

You will be responsible for providing an effective and well-organised administrative service, working closely with the Maternity and Neonatal Admin Manager, and supporting ongoing local Quality Improvements in line with national workstreams.

Main duties of the job

·         The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Maternity & Neonatal admin teams; to provide compassionate leadership, to line manage the reception, ward clerk and admin teams and be responsible for their training and development.

·         To work directly with and to support the Senior Leadership team across Maternity & Neonatal services and other multidisciplinary professionals.

·         Provide administration functions to support ongoing local Quality Improvements in line with national workstreams.

·         To work closely with and support the Maternity and Neonatal Admin Manager, providing day-to-day management and support of other teams when required.

·         Provide admin support to meetings across the service to include agenda setting, minute taking and circulating documents.

·         Provide admin support for clinical teams in the specialised roles of Safeguarding, Perinatal Mental Health, Education, and Digital.
