Job overview

Recruiting now for a Senior Occupational Therapist for our Orthopaedic Therapy team! This role would be an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in Orthopaedics. Development opportunities from band 5 to band 6 would be available if appropriate.

The post holder will be providing specialist occupational therapy assessments and treatments to patients requiring Orthopaedic care here at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. Case loads will be across the acute orthopaedic wards, orthopaedic outpatients and Day Surgery Unit.

The successful candidate will be part of the dynamic assessment and rehabilitation team, facilitating a smooth transition from the Orthopaedic wards at the hospital to the community,  They will be involved in implementing treatment plan effectively and safely and using their specialist skills as appropriate for assessment and treatment. There will be a requirement to participate in the weekend rota.

Providing support and supervision to rotating Band 5 staff, and therapy assistants and enabling Practice Placements for student Occupational Therapists.

  • Broad range of Band 5 experience in the NHS including Orthopaedics
