Level 4 Health Care Sciences Apprenticeship (Audiology)
2-year fixed term contract
Band 3 - Annex 21 (First Year - 70% of top of Band 3, Second Year - 75% of top of Band 3).

You will have the opportunity to enrol on and study a level 4 Apprenticeship in Healthcare Science specialising in Audiology.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
The Apprentice Health Care Science (Audiology) will deliver an effective and competent level of care under the guidance and supervision of the Audiology Team. They will independently carry out repair and replacements to hearing aids working to nationally and locally agreed operating procedures.
The role involves the enrolment onto the level 4 apprenticeship in Health Care Science and possible career pathway to level 6 degree apprenticeship to qualify as an Audiologist.
Our current team includes Audiologists, Clinical Scientists, Associate and Assistant Audiologists along with administration support to work across both our acute and community sites. We work closely with Teachers of the Deaf, Speech and Language Therapists, ENT and the local CCGs. We invite applications from dynamic individuals who can deliver high quality care with the motivation to develop further.
We have been accredited by UKAS against the Improving Quality in Physiological diagnostic Services (IQIPS) standards and we provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for both adults and children, which includes tinnitus and vestibular management. In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for a well-motivated individual to work with us alongside having allocated time to study.

- To enrol and complete an apprenticeship level 4 in Health Care Science.
- To take impressions of routine adult ears under the guidance and supervision of senior Audiologists.
- To repair and replace digital hearing aids to adults under the guidance and supervision of senior Audiologists.
- To assess custom ear moulds to optimise hearing aid fitting under the guidance and supervision of senior Audiologists.
- To carry out simple modifications to custom ear moulds by using highly developed hand-eye coordination skills.
