Please note your employer will be Salisbury NHS; This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week) the location is flexible and can be  either based at  RUH Bath NHSFT, Salisbury NHSFT or Great Western Hospitals NHSFT in Swindon.

BSW Acute Hospital Alliance Procurement service is an NHS procurement service hosted by Salisbury NHSFT providing strategic, tactical, transactional, and Supply Chain services across the 3 acute trusts and community in the ICS: Royal United Hospital Bath NHSFT, Great Western Hospitals NHSFT and Salisbury NHSFT.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a dynamic, focused, and forward thinking individual to support the BSW Acute Hospital Alliance being based either in Bath, Swindon, or Salisbury Acute Hospital locations.

This exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a demanding yet rewarding procurement environment dealing with Clinical products and non clinical products in a  responsive, and professional service for our multiple Trust stakeholders.

The team has recently undergone a restructuring and refocusing on ICS strategic and collaborative procurement and the post holder will be assigned to a specific category.   

Interviews will be held week commencing  20/05/2024. 

Main duties of the job

This is an important procurement role which requires robust stakeholder engagement skills, knowledge and expertise.

The post holder will have a working  knowledge of Public Sector procurement and contracting and should be able to demonstrate a  track record of running end-to-end procurement or tenders. Ideally the candidate will be CIPS level 4 qualified.

The role also requires an individual with commercial acumen and the ability to successfully represent the Procurement function at meetings. These will take place both virtually and via frequent attendance at multiple Trust sites.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to meet the Trusts core values and should be able to evidence commitment to continuous professional development.

The post holder will need to contribute to the procurement functions standardisation, collaboration and continual improvement drives, to deliver an improved ICS in which value for money is obtained from all supplier expenditure.
