The salary scale for a Band 3 has been adjusted as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2026/2027 and will be implemented in August 2026 backdated to 01 April 2026 where applicable.
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Team Secretary to work within the newly formed All Wales Gambling Treatment Service. This is a permanent position working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, based with The Elms building in Wrexham.
The successful candidate will work alongside a band 2 Support secretary, providing daily administrative coordination and support of the service.
Main duties of the job
To support the co-ordination of the administration arrangements to provide a high quality supportive secretarial service to the Gambling Services clinical, administrative and management team. To work independently and be accountable for organising/prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved. To support the facilitation of the patients along a defined pathway by following referral procedures.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and / or Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good standard of Education including English and Maths
- RSA/OCR stage 2 or equivalent qualification/experience
- ECDL/Clait Plus or IT qualification or equivalent experience
- NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent knowledge & experience, or willing to work towards

- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
