Job overview
A vacancy has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Unit Manager to join the Gynaecology Outpatients Team in Wrexham Maelor Hospital on a part time basis. This role involves managing a busy outpatients department, with a number of clinics running on a daily basis, involving procedure clinics e.g. Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy and Urogynae clinics.
Main duties of the job
The role involves managing a busy outpatients department with a number of clinics running on a daily basis. The role involves managing staffing for clinics, supporting the clinics as required, working with the Department Manager to co-ordinate rosters, annual leave entitlements and staff allocation and working closely with the operational team.
The Deputy Unit Manager will ensure the smooth running of all clinics on a day to day basis ensuring the correct staffing levels and skill mix for a variety of differing clinics including procedure clinics.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
