Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease Service. We are seeking either an experienced Band 6 IBD Nurse Specialist or a dynamic nurse with a strong interest in IBD who is looking to progress.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred care to individuals living with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Main duties of the job
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, support, education and ongoing management of patient with IBD across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work closely with Consultants, Dieticians, Pharmacist, Surgeons and the wider MDT to ensure patients receive timely, evidence-based care.
The post includes:
- Nurse-Led clinics and patient reviews
- Telephone and virtual advice services
- Supporting biologicals and advance therapy pathway
- Patient education and self-management setting
- Co-Ordinator of care across acute and community settings
- Service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
