Job overview
The post holder will provide a professional reception service, be the first point of contact for users at the Medical Education Centre, and provide clerical support for all training activity scheduled in the centre. The post holder will provide technical support for all educational activities within the medical education centre.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be an integral part of the Medical Education Team and be involved in all aspects of Medical Education, to support library users and support the provision of high quality teaching facilities housed at the Medical Education Centre.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Provide regular maintenance checks on IT/Audio Visual equipment. Arrange for economic repairs to or replacement of equipment as necessary to ensure service is provided to the highest standard possible.
Possess an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word
and Excel.
Schedule meetings, including the booking of venues, equipment and refreshments; coordinate attendance.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE or equivalent standard in English and Maths. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of ongoing learning.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of further professional or academic qualification.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience in a busy general office environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with IT and /or AV systems
- Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role

- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels in an approachable, professional manner.
- Able to work on own initiative, organise own workload and problem solve.
